Proverbs 20:11

Even a child is known by his doings, whether his work be pure, and whether it be right. KJV

Who or what things have we given authority in our life? As we read Chapter 20 we would be wise to ask ourselves this question. Here are some listed in the first 10 verses.

Alcohol or mind-altering substance abuse, Vs.1 Those in authority like kings Vs2&8, Foolishness, Vs 3, Laziness, Vs 4, Hidden plans, VS. 5 Pride Vs 6, Righteousness, Vs. 7, Self-deception, Vs 9. A willingness to cheat and deceive, Vs 10, 13, &23.

There are many more in this chapter, both good and bad, but hopefully we get the point.  We all have many things that are in authority in our lives that influence what we say and do on any given day.

In verse 26 we read, A wise king scattereth the wicked, and bringeth the wheel over them. KJV

The wheel here is a threshing wheel that was run over the grain to separate the chaff from the grain. Our King Jesus will allow us to experience the pain of the consequences to bring out the fruitfulness of His authority in our lives.
