Numbers 11:23
Walk By Faith Not By Sight
Chronological Bible Reading
And the Lord said to Moses, “Is the Lord’s power limited? Now you shall see whether My word will come true for you or not.” Numbers 11:23 NASB
Sometimes our problems become so big in our eyes that the problem is all we see. We cannot see anything else or any possible solution. When this happens we lose sight of God and His promises and limit our understanding of what God can do, or is doing.
Expectations are another area that can cause us to walk by sight rather than by faith. We may be expecting God to work out a solution to our problem in a certain way. While we are watching and waiting for God to work according to our plan we may miss what God is doing right before our eyes because we have put God in a box. A good example of this is found in verses 25-29.
God’s ways are not our ways. In order for us to see by faith we must surrender our ways, our expectations, watch and listen for Him, and allow Him to work.
Paul tells us in Ephesians 3:20 that God, “…is able to do exceeding abundantly beyond all that we ask or think…” NASB
May we be found walking by faith.
