Proverbs 7:6-7

For at the window of my house I looked through my casement, And beheld among the simple ones a man void of understanding. KJV

In our previous study in Chapter 6:6  we read that the word translated as understanding  is heart as in heart and soul, or his heart was not in it.

The simple one is easily seducible and is setting himself up to fall into temptation by being in the wrong place where temptation is found. Vs 8.

Next as he is exposed to darkness he does not turn away, instead, he keeps going. Darkness is the way or wisdom of the world. The enemy likes to put stumbling blocks in the darkness to make men fall. As he progresses, twilight turns to evening and his world gets darker and darker until he is totally in the dark. The light of God’s wisdom has no influence on him any longer. Vs 9

The trap is sprung and he is going to pay a huge price.

Solomon’s wisdom is, don’t listen to temptation, don’t even go there.

The Apostle John says the same thing in 1 John 2:15-17. Colossians 3:1-4 tells us how.
