Proverbs 4:9
She will place on your head a garland of grace; She will present you with a crown of beauty. NASB
How do you want to be seen in this world? I thought I had solved a problem on a car I was repairing for a customer but there was one more thing I could do before I called the job done. I was talking with a friend in the same business and I really didn’t want to spend any more time on the job but he told me to do it, saying, “if you don’t do it and it turns out it was the problem you will look a fool!”.
Wisdom in our passage is personified in verses 6-9 and 13. The wisdom of Proverbs is to be applied to every aspect of our lives. In these verses we can see that wisdom will guard you, watch over you, exalt you, honor you, and bless your life. The benefits of wisdom go beyond blessing us but will also be a blessing to those we encounter in our day to day lives as we are guided by wisdom.
We are told in this chapter to acquire wisdom and understanding in verses 4 and 7.Many of the other verses tell what lack of wisdom looks like.
So, acquire wisdom and you won’t look a fool!
