Proverbs 24:3&4
By wisdom a house is built, And by understanding it is established; And by knowledge the rooms are filled With all precious and pleasant riches. NASB
A house must be built in such a way that it can withstand the forces of nature. It must also be able to withstand unseen forces like gravity. To withstand these forces one must understand they exist. One must also understand the laws of science and take advantage of them by managing their use. For instance, a house must have a strong foundation to support the weight of the house. Proper placement of the studs in the wall and securing them in place so they do not move will keep the house from collapsing from gravity and storms.
The same is true for wisdom. Wisdom is meant to guide us in the spiritual house we plan to build. However, to build the house and have it stand against the forces that will come against it, we must understand wisdom so we can apply it properly for our benefit.
Wisdom that is understood will result in knowledge that will result in God’s blessing and guidance.
