Proverbs 19:21

There are many devices in a man’s heart; nevertheless the counsel of the Lord, that shall stand KJV

In Chapters 15 and 16 we noted that what we stored in our heart, which is what we believe, will be expressed in our words and our behavior, even if it is foolishness. In this chapter, we see many examples of what people believe in their heart and the actions that result from those beliefs.

These can range from attitudes to actions. Good things or bad things, blessings or consequences.

It is important that we pay attention to what we believe, and store in our heart, because all of the examples of actions, behaviors, and attitudes in this chapter result from a core belief a person had.

Let’s start with attitude. Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:5&6 KJV

Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me. Psalm 119:133 KJV
